Carrefour has been a client of Traffic for a long time and we have had great projects together. This is the story of one particular project, one that emphasizes the importance of the online shopping experience for the consumer.

What Makes A High-Quality Online Shopping Experience?

Carrefour needed us to build a user interface for its online brand that would be attractive to premium consumers and encourage them to shop online. Since this is a hypermarket we are talking about, it was a little bit challenging to attract the audience they needed, especially since people don’t perceive hypermarkets as places that can also exist online.

According to Mastercard online shopping Study Middle East 2015, 42% of Middle East consumers access the Internet to shop and 87% are satisfied with their online shopping experience.

To offer users a unique experience that would satisfy them, overcome any objections and have them ask for more. And so we worked on a highly engaging platform with simple and powerful designs and with an extremely user-friendly interface. We also optimized it for the most important keywords and implemented innovative features to grow their consumer database and, at the same time, offer users a unique experience. There was a very complex feedback system with a very simple interface, the option to register for alerts on a specific product if Carrefour was out of stock at some point, and many other compelling features.

Great Online Engagement

The results followed soon after: Carrefour gained an astonishing online engagement across the CGG region, the sales increased considerably and their consumer database grew. We have managed to redefine the shopping experience for our client and to set a benchmark in this field.
