Traffic wins Mena Cristal for OMO & Comfort Campaign

Traffic wins a Mena Cristal Award in the Digital and Mobile category for the OMO and Comfort “Touch of Love” Social Media campaign.

Following a rigorous judging process, Traffic was awarded an Emerald Award at the Mena Cristal Festival held in Dubai on Thursday 18th of February. The award, won in the “Best use of blogger, influencer and celebrity” category, recognizing the agency’s creative work for the best-selling Unilever brands, OMO and Comfort.

The social media campaign combined the spirit of Ramadan and the values of the brands (Sharing, Giving, Love and Compassion), bringing together highly influential Key Opinion Leaders to inspire and engage families in the UAE to donate their clothes and effect change for those less fortunate. This initiative is in line with the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan via which it aims to increase its positive social impact and create a bright future for all.

The Touch of Love campaign received amazing results across multiple social media platforms and won the Guinness World Record for the largest collection of clothes donations globally on the 26th of July 2015. Last year the record was set at 146,411 items and this time over 153,240 clothes were collected, washed with OMO and Comfort and donated to the less fortunate with the help of Emirates Red Crescent.

The MENA Cristal Festival was created in 2005 with the aim of introducing a new advertising competition in all the North African and Middle Eastern countries. Rewarding the best advertising creations the famous Cristal trophy, the competitions in February close the creative year and announce the broad tendencies of the coming international prizes.
