Enter Google PageRank Update

Ask not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee – that’s right, today Google updated its PageRank algorithm (once again).  For those of you unfamiliar with the SEO scene, “Google PageRank” is a link analysis algorithm, which is used by Google search engine to allot numerical weight to hyperlink documents, with the purpose of calculating their respective importance within the set. In simpler terms, "Google PageRank” determines where a page stands in Google search engine rankings; and it’s a pretty heavy deal for individuals/teams associated with the business of Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

There have been no official announcements from Google. However we here at Traffic Online JLT, have received several reports on our forums as well as from our contacts around the world verifying the PageRank update. The spike in Twitter activity regard changes in PageRakings of various websites also serves to confirm the report.

The news is still sinking in, and it will probably take a few days for things to settle. However as experience shows this latest update in Google's PageRank algorithm will certainly create both excitement and abhor amongst SEO gurus across the globe.
